Nearly 40 years on, The Kinks Muswell Hillbillies is still regarded by many as songwriter Ray Davies finest work and one of the most enduring of all cult classics. Faithfully executing the likes of 20th Century Man, Holiday, and Skin and Boneas well as an extras list of additional Kinks cutsis this all-ages kollective that includes guitarists Dave Simons and Bill Howard, journalist/drummer David Sokol, pianist Dave Skelly (Pop Party Opera), and bassist Jack Simons, along with a five-piece horn section featuring members of Hopkins Academys jazz ensemble. Performing the entire album, as well as such Kinks nuggets as Victoria, Waterloo Sunset, and Sunny Afternoon. The band debuts this summer in conjunction with the premiere of Do It Again, a documentary about one mans effort to reunite the Kinks, created by Boston Globe writer Geoff Edgers.

The Blue Meanies take listeners on a fun musical tour of the 1960s British Invasion, injecting new life into songs from popular musics best decade. The Meanies have performed at International Beatles Week in Liverpool, England. They are fan favorites at the annual Abbey Road on the River festival in Louisville, Kentucky. Closer to home, The Blue Meanies host the late-night jam session at the annual Festival for Beatles Fans in Secaucus, New Jersey. The band, a fixture at the NY/NJ Fest for 25-plus years, has also hosted jam sessions at Fests in Chicago and Boston. They made their BB King's debut this past January with a 50-song Monkees set in honor of the bands 44th anniversary.
