The 3rd Annual Bangladesh Revisited All-Star Tribute To George Harrison returns to BB King's.

On August 1st 1971, George Harrison put on one of the most memorable shows in rock history. It was the first large scale rock and roll benefit ever and included rock legends Eric Clapton, Bob Dylan, Leon Russell, Badfinger, Billy Preston + more.

Tonight at BB King's, the music from that concert will be revisited and played with expert precision. All of the music from the original show will be played. It is impossible to try to imitate the original show exactly so for this reason the show will include some real treats including extra songs from the stars of the show including a few of their popular radio hits. Money from this concert will be donated in memory of George Harrison and his brother Peter Harrison(both died of cancer) to the cancer society.

The Concert for Bangladesh was the first benefit concert of its kind in that it brought together an extraordinary assemblage of major artists collaborating for a common humanitarian cause – setting the precedent that music could be used to serve a higher cause.

The concert sold out Madison Square Garden and along with the Grammy ® Award-winning triple-album boxset, and the feature film, has generated millions of dollars for UNICEF and raised awareness for the organization around the world, as well as among other musicians and their fans. It is therefore acknowledged as the inspiration and forerunner to the major global fundraising events of recent years.
