Ever effervescent, frequently a rascal, and always emotional, blues harp master Felix Cabrera cuts through the din as a consummate musician and performer tirelessly engaging his audiences and fans. Cabrera was recently Inducted into the New York City Blues Hall of Fame as a part of its first award ceremony. He has been recording since the '70s with The Felix Cabrera Band, The Black Italians, and The A Train Blues Band, frequently teaming up with Jimmy Vivino (of Conan O'Brian Show fame) and other top notch musicians.

Part of the first wave of Cuban immigrants landing in Miami in the '60s and working its way up to Union City, NJ, Cabrera gravitated towards the amazingly diverse blues scene that was thriving in '70s New York City. His music is steeped in the heavy, gut-wrenching blues of the Chicago bluesmen of the '50s and '60s, but it retains a contemporary social conscience, as Cabrera brings his audience through time to the present with his original material. At times you can feel him channeling Paul Butterfield, one of his musical heroes, and then with the next tune he draws heavily on his Cuban roots, weaving together the melodies and Latin percussion of his childhood. Cabrera's blues harp solos are nothing short of explosive, and his voice is soulful. This man knows how to work a crowd and deliver!
