"DER SECRET" Featuring TYRONE DIAMOND GOVAN, performs regularly at Paris Blues of Harlem comes to make his debut at Lucille's Bar & Grill in BB King's Blues Club! Tyrone is also the resident musician at Harlem's famed Cotton Club for many years. An artist with a flair for indescribable Sounds that moves the heart, stirs the soul and rocks the body! "Fly Ty" has been running around the entertainment world for over 40 years. He began with his first public appearance in 1971 at the famous Apollo Theatre as a dancer on Amateur Night, bringing an astonishing four straight wins from 1971 to 1972.

At the tender age of 13 years old thru age 17, with Norbie Warters as his booking agent "Fly Ty" played alongside: Johnny Hunnicutt, Duke Washington, Ray Shinnery, Doctor West Calvin, Bo Diddley jr., & Carol Douglas (recording with her) and "Shades of Love" contributing to much of the music you may have listened to back in the 1970's ( "Ecstasy Passion & Pain", "Push Push In The Bush", "First Choice", "Peaches And Herb", and "Tramps".

In the late 1970's to the 1980's as master drummer he contributed to "The Greatest Hits of BT EXPRESS" "Stretch" and "Taking Off" earning a coveted Grammy Award with the group in 1976-1977.

The 90's broadened Tyrone's repertoire when he contributed to the hit "So Different" with Kinky Foxx, and performed in charitable shows with the legendary Intruders in Harlem, NYC.

In the new millenium "Fly Ty" has participated in multiple recordings with the Bawner Brothers and as a master drummer with Alvin Ailey at the City Center in 2011. In addition, Tyrone Govan has also added to his credentials as being a fine guitar player fronting his band "Der Secret" which will be performing in Lucille's as he brings the spirit of Paris Blues of Harlem to Times Square, NYC.

ALSO ADDING TO THE EVENINGS FESTIVITIES, NEW YORK CITY COUNCILMAN BILL PERKINS WILL BE PRESENTING A LIFETIME ACHIEVEMENT AWARD TO SAMUEL HARGRESS JR. BLUES AFICIONADO & PROPRIETOR OF THE FAMOUS "PARIS BLUES CLUB" IN HARLEM, NYC. SAM HARGRESS JR. HAS BEEN KEEPING THE BLUES ALIVE IN HARLEM SINCE HE OPENED PARIS BLUES BACK IN 1969.
