Guitar slingin', Soul singin', song scribin' funkified Roots and Blues man Marc Stone worked his way up from the streets of New Orleans and the feet of the masters to become a prominent voice on the Crescent City scene. His energized performances with his band, solo/acoustic or with his over-the-top all-star projects, are a staple at clubs and festivals in New Orleans. His extensive song book criss crosses the highways and side roads of American music, while his originals cut their own path with a unique, fiery blend of Roots styles informed by two decades of immersion backing icons and architects of Rock & Roll, New Orleans Rhythm & Blues, Funk, Soul and Zydeco.

Stone is also known to music lovers for his 17 years hosting the Soul Serenade program on New Orleans' beloved Jazz and Heritage station WWOZ 90.7-fm. A lifetime of performing in the US and over a decade of touring in Europe have earned him loyal fans on both sides of the Atlantic. Stone's special projects find him collaborating with contemporary Roots music grand masters including Walter "Wolfman" Washington, John Mooney, Alvin Youngblood Hart, Benny Turner, the Campbell Brothers, Amanda Shaw, Marilyn Barbarin, Betty Harris, Rockin' Dopsie, Jr., Shannon McNally, Reggie Scanlan, Dave Malone and Camile Baudoin of the Radiators, while his guitar skills have been utilized by everyone from legends like Eddie Bo, Marva Wright, Terrance Simien, Marcia Ball, Henry Gray, Ernie K-Doe, Tommy Ridgely, Dr. John, Buckwheat Zydeco, and Allen Toussaint to jam band stalwarts Leftover Salmon and Col. Bruce Hampton, groundbreaking NOLA-Africa fusion group Fatien, Hip Hop producer Dani Kartel and cutting edge original artists including Cole Williams and Micah McKee and Little Maker.

"A jaw dropping night of blistering Blues...Live in Europe captures lightning in a bottle as it delivers Stone's voice, words and guitar wizardry in a stellar showcase propelled by the considerable talents of his band." - OffBeat Magzine April 2017
