Lee Lawless - a native of New York City, singer songwriter and a local guitar legend in the NYC Greenwich Village club scene. Lawless plays a heavy rock/blues groove with an unmistakeable Hendrix influence in his original material.
Frequent club goers don't require much explanations when they hear the Lawless' name. They simply expect the highest level of entertainment. Stage presence and showmanship always dominate every performance. Jimi Hendrix having been one of the major influences on his playing, this Valentine's Day themed show will reflect this as well as selected blues covers of other respective influences.
"Lawless' command of a strong blues-rock presence assures you that you'll think about love and loss and muster up some defiance as well. A man who knows where he comes from and rocks and moves in his own direction is one worth paying heed to." - Omar Kasrawi for 'Pancakes and Whiskey' (from recent 'Mercury Lounge' show review)
"...a strong blues/rock riff and a pleasant vocal from Lawless that sounds like a more subdued version of Jimi Hendrix or Robert Cray. The riffing is wonderfully catchy and driving and is backed up by a chugging bass performance that demonstrates Lawless' abilities aren't just limited to playing lead". - Heath Andrews (from 'Lee Lawless' CD review)
